Field Notes

Description:

Shrubby bush, passes the "Cornus" test, droupes from reddish stems with flat oval seeds. I brought a specimen back from the field with hopes of identifying without my field guides but am having no such luck. I'm working away from home and will not have access to my books for quite sometime. Any help would be appreciated!!

Habitat:

Wetland in northeastern ohio
