Thanks mitch, I'm gonna take a look into those
I'm a fan of the Peterson Field Guides to Reptiles and Amphibians. I much prefer the one to eastern herps, but the western one isn't too bad. You may be able to find a good state specific one.
Btw mitch where did you get the field guides? I have been looking for some but can't find any worth buying
Its colors were real nice when I was holding it, its scales had a turquoise color to them, and the bottom was a dark blue
I feel its Granite Spiny Lizard as shape and body structure..!!
I'm familiar with the Genus and I have a few field guides at hand. They can still be very tricky to identify though, and I have a very difficult time identifying lizards outside of the US.
Mitch you..must be nearby..these colour changing lizards are tough to identify correctly..!!
Something in the genus Scleroporus. Maybe a Desert Spiny Lizard or a Granite Spiny Lizard.
