Field Notes

Description:

Beautiful tree. About 6 feet tall. The seed pod drops off at some point. Male. The male cone is shaken over the female palm several times to pollinate the female.

Habitat:

This is in a garden area. Sunny areas or partial shade.

Notes:

Neat looking plant. The King is most commonly planted, though the Queen is the better plant. The plant is extremely toxic to pets and humans. The plant is palatable to pets, though toxic.
