Thank You! I looked it up and they wrote it was cultivated in the Valley of the Nile during the Old Kingdom Dynastic Period (3400-2475 BC) http://www.oleander.org/fromwhence.html It has a long History, also called Rose Bay, Greeks called it Nerion, Rhododendros. In Italy it is known as Lauro Rose. Reported seen in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA in 1841. They believe it arrived on a trading ship from British West India Islands or Jamaica.
Its originated from Mediterranean sea cost countries mostly Morocco to Egypt.
