Description:

A large yellow/green scarab with no elytral markings. Elytra has irregular rows of punctures

Habitat:

Deciduous forests and woodlands, adjacent fields

Notes:

Edgar Allen Poe wrote the story "The Gold Bug" and supposedly his fictitious bug which bit one of the main characters is fashioned after this gold bug and another one that I have listed , the click beetle http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6647156
