Description:

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to witness how the bug did it. Some species of thread-legged assassin bugs are known to be able to wonder onto spider's webs in order to catch them, but this one was much bigger and heavier than the spider it caught. Did it fly or jump towards the spider? Any ideas/info appreciated.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest on the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica.

Will do tmvdh, thanks for letting me know about the mission.
Hi Felix, it would be great if you could add this spotting - and others of insects from Costa Rica - to the mission "Insects of Costa Rica". Thanks!
