Field Notes

Description:

White flowers that had pink tips on some of them. They grew on the ends of a branch on the tree. The flowers only faced the sun and were growing in the middle of the canopy along the mountain. The waterfall was nearby but not visible. We could hear it.

Habitat:

Amicalola Falls State Park, Chattahoochee National Forest, 418 Amicalola State Park Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534-1003, USA

Notes:

My grandmother ID'd this as she walked up the more than 400 stairs to the top of Amicoalola Falls. Prisoners built the stairs.
