Similar to Pin oak, but sinuses are not as deep. Opposite-simple. Leaves 5-8 inches.
Notes:
Northern most eastern oak. Lives in moist, loamy, sandy, rocky, and clay soils. Songbirds, bears, and foxes eat nuts.
