Field Notes

Description:

This insect has an orange collar of hair and a black fuzzy body. Yellow on the middle of the sides. It has compound eyes with squarish corners. The wings are black on the leading edge of wings and spotted with clear circular patterns. Size is about 2.5 cm long

Habitat:

This one was tired out and on the grass. Central Plateau in Madagascar.

Notes:

It was tired. A warm day and it wanted to rest. A picnic in the sun.
