Field Notes

Description:

This was sitting on a wire a long way off so not much detail to go on. I get the impression of a thin bill as opposed to a conical bill which would rule out sparrows and buntings and the like which is why I have put Warbler. The head shape would appear to rule out flycatcher. There are several warblers which might fit but my best guess would be Lesser Whitethroat, Sylvia curruca, though I am by no means certain, even of Genus, let alone species.

Habitat:

Coastal marshes.
