Field Notes

Description:

Gekkonidae; Gekko; Gekko gecko (Linnaeus, 1758). According to Wikipedia, this is the third largest species of gecko and it has the ability to change its colour to blend into its environment. Another fact that I learned from Wikipedia is that this gecko has a semiprehensile tail.

Habitat:

This Tokay Gecko was spotted in our front garden, resting while it was moulting.
