Field Notes
Description:
A small yellow moth with a wing span of 10 mm and two dark brown triangular patterns on the tented wings. The inner margins of the wings have fringes that are wider than the wings (pic 4). Sickle shaped labial palps curve upwards. Antennae held straight up.
Habitat:
Spotted in a suburban garden.
These moths are seen all through Australia, except the Northern Territory.
Notes:
The larvae are said to feed on leaf litter.
