Description:

Perhaps made most famous for being the same species as Hedwig, Harry Potter's owl, the snowy owl is a beautiful majestic bird. Seen here is a female kept at the Tulsa Zoo in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Where my girlfriend and I spent our anniversary.

Habitat:

Snowy owls are native mostly to the Artic Circle.

Notes:

I love owls, not sure why they get such a bad rap.
