Description:
Green, comes as a shrub or small tree, carries fruit that is red and edible when ripe. The fruit is green and hard at first and becomes red and softer when ripe. The fruit is a small drupe; olive-like but thinner-fleshed and smaller. The leaves of this plant can irritate the skin.
Notes:
I used to eat these "berries" as a child
