Es un juvenil de la Iguana común, es característico en esta especie, la longitud de su cola, los anillos negros de la cola, la cresta que va del cuello a la cola (en los juveniles esta no es tan grande y sobresaliente como en los adultos) y el gran tímpano que presentan (característica descriptiva de estos reptiles).
