Field Notes

Description:

Has deep green, oblong, smooth on the top surface but hairy beneath, wavy edged leaves that have heart shaped bases. Bears saucer shaped, yellow flowers with light purple filaments.

Habitat:

Native to dry open sites in Europe and the Mediterranean region. It grows to 0.5-1.5 m.
