Congratulations Zlatan, your Little Commodore is our Spotting of the Day: "An enchanting touch of light on the African forest floor! This Little Commodore (Junonia sophia) is our Spotting of the Day. Junonia sophia is a widespread species in Africa, distributed from Senegal to Ethiopia and south to Angola, Zambia and Malawi. The butterfly genus Junonia (family Nymphalidae) is named after the ancient Roman goddess Juno, and is found on all continents with the exception of Antarctica. Butterflies in this genus are commonly known as buckeyes, pansies or commodores".
