Description:

The African Leaf Butterfly (Precis tugela), also known as the Eared Commodore, is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.

Wingspan: males 55-60 mm females 58-64 mm

It is commonly included in the genus Precis instead of Junonia.

Habitat:

Seen on bushes by the side of a dirt road running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.
