Field Notes

Description:

small red columbine like flowers

Habitat:

edge of lake almanor

Notes:

Not sure if it is the same as the previous larkspur found at the edge of Eagle lake in a much dryer micro clime. Growing on a steep slope next to the water which had me holding on as it were. Shortly after a grey fox teased us into following it, and we weren't able to get any pictures of him
