Field Notes

Description:

cream or light tan coloring around the face, neck and shoulders. The rest of its coat is dark brown.

Habitat:

wet forests of central and south america

Notes:

I surprised a group of capuchin monkeys crossing the path on the floor since the trees were too far apart to jump. This individual immediately started with a threat display until all of the other members of the group were safely up in the next tree.
