Habitat:

Open habitat. Grasses, wild flowers, scattered pines and aspens. Elevation 8,373 ft.

Notes:

This flower was extremely abundant here. By the time I left on July 11th there were few flowers left. Chipmunks were feeding heavily on the seed heads.
