A tiny fascinating Thread-Legged Assassin Bug. An adult with a splayed apical wing design like a mermaid. It was only 4 mm long. The antennae are as long as the legs and make it look spider-like. It has 3 forward pointing hooks on the thorax. The strong beak is banded and the front legs are raptorial. These are ferocious micro-predators. Family Reduviidae, Subfamily Emesinae.
