Field Notes

Description:

Also known as the cut-leaf philodendron. The leaves of this plant can reach lengths of 3 feet. The stem/trunk is unable to support the weight of the plant as it grows. Thus, it bends and, unless supported, will reach back down to the ground. It will then begin its upward growth again.

Habitat:

Native to rainforests. Spotted in the tropical south.
