Description:
A large wren species with a brown upper body with white and black specks, a long white eye-stripe and barred tail. They are a very aggressive in nature and have been known to mob nests by destroying them and pushing eggs out; and have even been known to torment squirrels as well as other small animals. The Cactus Wren has a very distinct call which is hard to forget.
Habitat:
Mountain hillside, close to deep canyons, an area dominated by thorny shrubs and cacti.
