Field Notes

Habitat:

Breed in the tundra of High Arctic Canadian islands and peninsulas. While migrating along the North American coast, Sanderlings stop on hard-packed sand beaches, tidal mudflats, rocky coastlines, and inland bodies of water—including ponds, streams, reservoirs, and shallow prairie lakes. spend the winter on sandy beaches all over the world.

Notes:

On the sand after my shore SCUBA diving. Had a few moments to photograph these guys in the early morning. By their color, I think these are juveniles.
