By looking at the flaring of the carapace, especially the nuchal scute above the head, and the scales on the forelimbs, I would identify this as a Hermann's Tortoise. The spur thighed tortoise has much larger leg scales, and the marginated has an indent at the front of the carapace
This might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_reptiles_of_Italy. It's hard to tell without seeing the shell pattern and general shape, but it looks like you've got three different tortoises to choose from.
