Field Notes

Habitat:

Fresh water, SC.

Notes:

David (9 year old) spotted this baby alligator on a bike ride through the Sea Pines Forest Preserve on Hilton Head Island. Its sibling was nearby (near a turtle on another log), but the picture unfortunately was blurry. The grown-up pictured is from a pond a short ways away; but we presume the mamma of the babies was a bit closer keeping her eye on us!
