Domestic Buffalo

I don't like posting domestic animals but these were far from any farm and seemed so out of place wandering around Varanasi. It was quite startling actually to be wandering around the narrow alleyways behind the ghats at night to stumble upon a huge buffalo walking or sleeping. The alleys are dimly lit and the black buffalo blend into the night making them difficult to see until you are almost on top of them.
