Field Notes

Notes:

A blurry picture of a Golden Eagle is still a picture of a Golden Eagle! We observed strange behavior today when we saw a young Golden Eagle roosting near two bald eagles. We assumed it was three bald eagles at first until we got a good look at his tail and feathered legs! It was exciting to see this bizarre behavior as balds and goldens don't usually spend time together. The golden flew off quickly and didn't let us approach at all! The balds were more willing!

Thanks Luis! I wish my pictures were better, but it's always exciting to see a Golden in the wild! This is only the 3rd I've seen in the wild!
It was very exciting to see one! I'm still excited!
This is after heavy photoshopping too! :-/ I didn't bother touching up the other pictures! I'm still excited it was a golden!
Your first pic isn't too bad! Mine's just as blurry...I haven't worked on it yet!! ;-)
