Description:

Sporangia are lavender/ brown, smooth, dry, approx 10 mm tall, and 1–2 mm in diameter and have a black stem. Attached to rotting tree.

Habitat:

Attached to rotting tree stump in clusters. Little PeeDee River, South Carolina.
