Description:

The general scientific name of the moth is Animalia Arthropoda Insecta Lepidoptera. However, each species of moth actually has its own specific scientific name. Some of the names for moths are a mixture of Greek and Latin names. Sometimes the term 'Heterocera' is used for moths.
