Field Notes

Description:

A small and rather undifferentiated leaf beetle with a plain pronotum and beading in bright gold color particularly at the leading edge of the elytra.

Habitat:

On a red box eucalyptus in a nature reserve.

Notes:

These are hard to place into a species taxon but paropsisterna is certain.
They are variable and very little research is available to us novices.

No, the other beetle is Trachymela catenata and I put it there for size comparison. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/567516009
