Field Notes

Description:

Length: 340mm incl. 175mm tail
Mainly green, red nose, yellow neck band, back bluish black as per pix
Females are duller in colour.

Habitat:

Mallee scrub and open woodlands, semi arid areas.
Nests in deep tree hollows.

Notes:

Very beautiful in flight, the pix don't do them justice.
First two pix are the male, last two female.
