Field Notes

Description:

Medium size north american porcupine. Claws about the size of my pinky finger. Its back side looks like someone hit it to many times.

Habitat:

Valdez AK is classified as a rain forest. There are many kinds of vegetation here for the north american porcupine to live off.

Notes:

This porcupine was found about a mile into my town which is surrounded by forests and mountains.

You're right, I would need a big coat! It really does sound awesome there. I will keep it in mind for sure. Thanks for sharing.
haha Well, you should maybe bring a big coat then. Even this winter I've seen; Marine life-whales,seals,puffins, sea lions, otters, loons and other sea birds, some weird sea worms. Land life- Moose, Caribou, Wolves, ermine, Eagles. And loads more. It's never dull in Alaska!
Sounds like a great place! I would love to come out there for a tour, but it might be a little too cold for me in the winter! That's the only time I can travel.
Yes! I live in Valdez Alaska, you should definitely come here on one of your tours! We have tons of marine and land wildlife. You are always guaranteed to see something!
