Southern Magnolia (Magnólia-de-flores-grandes)

Observa-se a infrutescência com os frutos (folículos) ainda não maduros de uma magnólia nas 4 primeiras fotografias. Na última fotografia os frutos já maduros libertaram as sementes (de cor vermelha).
An infrutescence with imature fruits of a magnolia can be seen in the first 4 pics. In the last pic the already mature fruits have released the red-coloured seeds. Magnolias belong to the Family MAGNOLIACEAE, wich belongs to the unranked group Magnoliidae.
