Description:
The European rabbit or Coney is mainly grey-brown, reaching some 30 to 40 cm in length. It sports easily recognizable long and rounded ears (much shorter than hares), and has a relatively short legs
Habitat:
Very common in English countryside; here observed at outskirts of a town, on grasslands surrounded by forests and parks.
Notes:
Native to grasslands of south-western Europe; introduced in many countries with sometimes devastating consequences. Not native to British isles, it was introduced by Romans following the conquest in 1st century.
