Field Notes

Description:

Marine snail in alabaster-beige shell with darker markings, about 3 cm long.

Habitat:

Tropical nearshore waters.

Notes:

Spotted by the trail it left as it traveled through sand in about three feet of water just west of Mokuleia Army Beach. Placed atop the sand for imaging. Identification is based on visual comparison with images found online.
