An insect in the tipulidae family. Slender long legged fly orange brown in color. It can grow up to 3.9 inches long.

Habitat:

Found all over the world

Notes:

Starts out as a larve that feeds on grass roots.

Are these also known as "mosquito eaters" or "mosquito hawks"? I have no idea if they actually do eat them, but that's what I grew up hearing them called
