Field Notes

Habitat:

In Australia, this is found in the coastal areas of Queensland.

Notes:

This male Rhinoceros Beetle was caught in a flight aviary near Atherton, in Queensland. He is big at 60mm (about 2.3 inches). When I picked him up to photograph (and move to safety) he made quite a loud hissing sound!
