Description:

this is a weaver bird ,the nests seen in the pic are entirely woven by the male .the male finishes off weaving the nest ,the female then inspects the nest ,if the female does not like it the male has to do the job all over again.
so you can see plenty of half woven nests around these parts

no the nests fall down only after the grass has dried ,half built or discarded nests dont fall off
! have collected many of these nests in Nagpur . There were many fallen on the ground. Now i can understand why. Maybe the female discarded them!
