5 Lined Skink

Plestiodon fasciatus

Comments (1)

One of 3 skink species that can only be told apart by examining the upper lip scales and the scales under the tail. Without seeing those (which we can't in this photo), it is impossible to tell which species it is. Here they are: http://www.herpsofnc.org/herps_of_NC/lizards/Eumine/Eum_ine.html http://www.herpsofnc.org/herps_of_NC/lizards/Eumfas/Eum_fas.html http://www.herpsofnc.org/herps_of_NC/lizards/Eumlat/Eum_lat.html
