Habitat:

The Seaside Dragonlet (Erythrodiplax berenice) is a small skimmer that makes its home in the brackish waters along the East and Gulf Coast areas of the United States.

Mature males, like that pictured above, are completely dark. Most females are an orange color with black markings on the abdomen.

They tend to perch on low branches and grassy areas in their territory.
