Added to mission "Fruiting Bodies of the World" Feel free to join!
They grow on tree tall bushes. Early state of fruit-growth is pale and with a soft shell, growing in fruit bundles. From June to early autmn the shell becomes both darker (to the wellknown hazle-brown) and harder. Usually we do not getting to see this late state that often - they are collected by squirrels before we approach ;)
Hazelnuts come from a tree and not a bush? We could use a little information
