Beautiful bird + photo...
Beautiful picture! The bird is so cute :) I love that you can see the details of the feathers on the breast, and the background is wonderful!
It's the only wabler to nest in tree cavities, so it's nice if you have a place where bird houses are placed directly in the swampy water. They definitely will nest in them. They also prefer mangroves.
I love this bird...but, it keeps eluding me in the wild. Nice pic. I'm going to a swamp tomorrow morning where they are known to breed.
