it doesn't save files in RAW format but it gives really good quality images in jpeg. All of my spotting pics are taken with canon SX30IS. you can go for DSLR with same zoom powers for better outcomes if budget is not a squeeze. :)
The Canon PowerShot SX30IS superzoom camera, featuring a 24-840mm equivalent wide-angle 35x zoom lens, looks awesome! If it saved photos as JPEGs and RAW files, then I'd seriously consider buying the camera as a worthy alternative to a DSLR. Your SX20 features a 28-560mm equivalent lens -- can you send me a sample photo zoomed all the way to 560mm? Thanks! [email protected]
Sorry, I was borrowing ryser's computer and forgot to change the name. I knew I made the mistake but you can't edit these comments once they are posted. ceherzog
OK, I'm confused! Who took the dragonfly photos -- ceherzog or ryser?
You're welcome! Your photos are "tack sharp" (as pro photographers are fond of saying). What kind of photo gear do you use?
I'm pretty sure you are correct! Thanks so much!
I think this may be either a female Great Blue Skimmer (Libellula vibrans) or an immature male. Please let me know whether you agree. Walter Sanford, a.k.a., Geodialist - www.wsanford.com
