Field Notes

Description:

This unusual looking insect came to land on a plant on the terrace the other night at around 11pm. The body was about 3 inches in length with 4 short legs at the front and two very long legs at the back and antenna nearly one and a half times the length of its body. At one point it raised its wings up slightly and the back tips of the wings rubbed together producing a high pitched sound.
