Field Notes

Description:

Adults are about 4.6 cm (1.8 in) in length. Both sexes are similar, but males have an additional white spot on each wing just beyond the darker spots found on female (female shown).

Habitat:

Breeds in quiet ponds. I found this one in an upland grassy area just uphill from a pond.
