Field Notes

Description:

Several found with the largest about 60mm tall. Characteristic 'sawtooth' gills, wavy, stipe roungh and dark at the base graduating to pale under the pileus; radial lines on the cap.

Habitat:

On a wet, partially dead Pomaderis spp. in a local nature reserve.

Notes:

Spore print white. <br> Possible Lentinellus tasmanicus which is a wood-rotting fungus which is possibly unique to Australia. <br> Refer page Fuhrer (2005) p.107 <br>
