Ah, though Giant trillium (Trillium chloropetalum) does. http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=TRCH2
Definitely a Trillium, not sure how you would speciate without the flower there. Though according to the Jepson Manual Trillium ovatum doesn't occur in the Sierras. http://ucjeps.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/get_JM_treatment.pl?8349,8647,8651
