Description:

This was a large bird. Because of the angle, I cannot tell what it is. It looks like it's got its legs acting like a rudder as it flies. It might be another Heron perhaps?

From the size and location, I'd say it's almost certainly a Great Blue Heron. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_blue_heron
Yes its Heron.. Its shape of throat side very much like Heron or Pelican in their flights (Herons are considered in Pelican family).
